NYC Night Life

New York City during the day is one thing, but when the sun goes down, that's when the City really shines. (Literally). The lights are so bright in the City at night it sort of feels like day time. I love NYC because I don't even have to do much, just walking around and exploring is amazing.
Being able to travel to NYC during Christmas time has been a dream of mine since I was little and getting to experience all of the lights was amazing. It really feels like Christmas, just breathtaking.
Enjoy my photo shoot in the subway ha :) .

NYC Day One

Ahh it feels so good to return to one of my favorite places on earth. In 2013 I fell in love with New York City, and have visited twice this year. By far one of my favorite places in NYC is Central Park, It's so beautiful and when I'm walking around I feel like i'm a character in gossip girl.
This trip was a little different then my last, I got to see SNOW for the first time ever, sadly it didn't snow while i was there, but there was some on the ground! I took advantage and had my first snow ball fight and made a snowman!
Yes, I did feel like I was in Home Alone. ;)

For my Outfit on Day One I really just focused on staying warm!

Holiday DIY Decorations

I don't know about you, but I LOVE this time of year! The holiday season is definitely my favorite, and decorating for it is just as amazing too. I decided to share some super cute and simple DIY holiday decorations.

Christmas Trees:

For the first project here are some of the items you will need!
Start by making a cone shape with some printer paper, cut the ends to make it even, and then tape it so you are left with a cone shape!
I made the cones in multiple sizes!
For the first one I just covered the whole cone in this green ribbon.
After I finished gluing the ribbon onto the cone I decided to add some sequence to look like ornaments. I then added a star on top using a yellow pipe cleaner.
For the green tree I used garland and the silver one is just some ribbon. This idea is super simple and cute! You can customize your tree to look however you'd like.

 Candy Cane Jar:

Start with a Mason or regular jar, any size will work!
Fill the jar with mini candy canes and add some ribbon and you're done!
This is so simple, but so festive!..and tasty :)

 Mason Jar Snow Globe:

Start by taking a mason jar and adding your favorite christmas knick-knack. I'm using a little snow man, but you can use whatever you have! Miniature Christmas Trees work perfect for this as well!
After gluing the knick-knack to the bottom of the jar, add some fake snow!
Add some decorative ribbon and you are done!
For the second snow globe I did the same exact thing, only for this one I flipped the jar upside down!
Here's how I decorated for the Holiday Season!
 Happy Holidays!

Casual Friday

Sweater: Target Leggings: Forever 21 Boots: Target Scarf: American Eagle

Even though this outfit is so simple, I really think it is one of my favorite combinations. Styling a sweater with a scarf, some leggings, and riding boots looks so put together but is still so incredibly  comfortable. This outfit is perfect for a casual day. Happy Friday!

Wardrobe Revamp

Today I was faced with a familiar dilemma that seems to occur every day..I could not find a single thing to wear! (first world problems, right?) I decided to take some sundresses that I previously owned from last season and spice them up by throwing a plain white sweater over them. I think this look is great as we transition into fall and winter..not that we have those seasons in Florida, but still some might!

Outfit One: For this outfit I took a plain red dress and placed a white sweater on top of it. It was looking a tad plain so I added some black accessories and nude pumps.
Dress: Forever 21 Sweater: Forever 21 Necklace: Macy's Bag: Nordstroms Shoes: Target

Outfit Two: For this outfit I took a tribal sundress, and once again placed the white sweater over it, and added some accessories and black pumps to complete the look.
Dress: Forever 21 Sweater: Forever 21 Necklace: Macy's Purse: Target Shoes: Target

A chunky sweater, a sun dress, some bling, and your choice of shoes, and BAM you've got yourself a super cute and unique outfit. Perfect for a fancy dinner or a stroll through the park.

Thanksgiving Sweet Treats

Thanksgiving is quickly approaching, crazy how fast time is flying, and since this day filled with eating is just around the corner I thought I would share some quick, easy, and cute sweet treats! These treats are sure to be a crowd pleaser...or you could eat them all yourself. Enjoy!

Pilgrim Hats:

These Cookies are really easy and very tasty! I usually end up making them every year!
The main ingredients include striped fudge cookies, marshmallows, m&m's, and some melted milk chocolate.
Melt some chocolate: I used kisses because that is what I had on hand
Coat the Marshmallow: I popped a toothpick into the marshmallow and coated it with chocolate.
Attach: I then attached the chocolate covered marshmallow to the fudge striped cookie, I used the melted chocolate as glue. Striped side down y'all.
Add a Belt & Buckle: On a normal pilgrim's hat there is a belt and buckle, so it's only right that I add one to mine too. I used an orange m&m that I cut in half.
I think that these cookies are absolutely adorable, and go so well with this holiday!

Chocolate Acorn Cookies:

I can not get over how cute these chocolate acorn cookies are! Again, these cookies are SO simple!, and thankfully you don't have to worry about being attacked by squirrels :).
For this cookie you are going to need just a few ingredients, vanilla wafers (or any vanilla cracker/cookie), Hershey's kisses, and chocolate chips for the top! I didn't have any chocolate chips so I just cut off the ends of the kisses, it worked fine.
Assembly: Putting this cookie together is too easy! All you do is attach the kiss to the bottom of the vanilla wafer with a little bit of melted chocolate, and the chocolate chip to the top of the wafer with a little bit of melted chocolate. BAM, a cute little acorn!
After putting the cookies together I usually pop them into the freezer for about ten minutes so the chocolate can harden, but after that they are ready to enjoy!
BTW how festive are my nails? This little turkey and I are so ready to stuff our faces on Thanksgiving!
